Arnold

The Greater Arnold Area has many great features for the vacationer or full-time resident. Arnold has more than 5,000 homes and home sites, divided into various subdivisions. Some subdivisions, like Blue Lake Springs and Lakemont Pines, offer recreational opportunities in the form of lakes, swimming pools, picnic areas, tennis and basketball courts, and much more. Plus, Arnold is only a half-an-hour away from Bear Valley Ski Resort, and the many wintertime activities there. During the summer, public lakes (like White Pines, Utica and Union Reserviors, Spicer and Lake Alpine) are great places to refresh the body and soul. Shopping and wine tasting are minutes away, down the mountain, in Murphys. Nature is never too far away in Arnold, with Calaveras Big Trees State Park just up the highway, and the evergreen pines of the Stanislaus National Forest surrounding most of this mountain community.
